Save this page for easy reference…it has all the information you need to get started, and the links here will always be up-to-date.

You must have a Gmail account to participate in our GED classes and to access the class assignments and materials. If you don’t have one, you can get a free Gmail account by clicking here.

To access your assingments and class materials, simply click here to go to Google Classroom and log in using your Gmail account information.

To add each class to your Google Classroom, click on the link below for each class and select “join class.” You will need to do this for each class that you want to take. You only need to do this once for each class. You only need to attend the classes for the exams you need to pass.

Once you have added the classes, all you need to do is go back to google.classroom.com and you will have access to your assignments and class materials.

Class Schedule

  • Math 2 Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30am to 11:00am

    • Math 1 is offered during the fall semester (September to December). 

    • Math 2 is offered during the spring semester (January to June).

  • Reading Language Arts 2 Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:00pm to 1:30pm

    • Reading Language Arts 1 is offered during the fall semester (September to December). 

    • Reading Language Arts 2 is offered during the spring semester (January to June).

  • Science Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:00pm to 1:30pm

    • Science is offered in both the fall and spring semesters.

  • Social Studies Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30am to 11:00am

    • Social Studies is offered in both the fall and spring semesters.

Calendar

HEP’s classes generally follow the NYC public school calendar. The GED class meets Mondays through Thursdays, except for the dates below.

Tuesday, January 28, Thursday, January 30, and Friday, January 31 at 9:30 AM: GED Orientation

February 3, 2025: First day of GED classes.

February 17-21, 2025: Midwinter Recess. Schools closed. No GED classes. 

March 31, 2025: Eid al-Fitr. Schools closed. No GED classes.

April 14-18, 2025: Spring Recess. Schools closed. No GED classes.

May 26, 2025: Memorial Day. Schools closed. No GED classes.

June 5, 2025: Eid al-Adha/Anniversary Day. Schools closed. No GED classes. 

June 18, 2025: Last day of GED for spring 2025.
